Frequently asked questions
About the live chat support simulator
What to expect before you start practising.
What is the OneStepKit Live Chat Support Simulator?
It is a free practice tool for customer-support conversations. Work through fictional cases, choose guided replies in Beginner mode, or write your own responses in Pro mode.
What is the difference between Beginner mode and Pro mode?
Beginner mode gives you three possible replies at each step with consistent, scenario-based scoring. Pro mode lets you write your own replies and receive AI-assisted feedback, with built-in scoring to keep practice running if the model service is unavailable.
Can I practise handling multiple customer chats at once?
Yes. Choose the total number of fictional customers for your session. Beginner mode uses its preset concurrency choices; Pro mode lets you enter a custom number of concurrent chats up to your selected customer count.
Is the customer-support simulator free to use?
Yes. The simulator is free to use and does not require an account. Pro-mode AI evaluation may temporarily be unavailable when free inference capacity is exhausted; Beginner mode remains available.
Does this simulator use real customer information?
No. The scenarios and records are fictional. Do not enter real customer data, passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information.
Can I use the live chat simulator on a phone?
Yes. The interface adapts to smaller screens, including Android phones, and the conversation history can scroll independently so earlier messages remain available.
What skills can I practise?
Practise empathy, de-escalation, clear writing, policy accuracy, ownership, problem-solving, resolution and handling several conversations at once.
